Bayley will report directly to Richard D. Fain, Chairman and CEO of Royal Caribbean Cruises, Ltd.   Bayley has been with Royal Caribbean for over 30 years, most recently as Executive Vice President of Operations.  Prior to this role, Bayley served as Executive Vice President — International, where he oversaw the international expansion for the company.

SANTA CLARITA, Calif. (July 25, 2012) – When the new Royal Princess launches in June 2013, Captain Tony Draper will be at the helm of Princess Cruises’ newest vessel, leading a senior officer team with more than 100 years of seagoing experience among them.

The senior four-stripe team will also include Relief Captain Dino Sagani, Chief Engineer Fabio Braccelli, Hotel General Manager Dirk Brand, and Staff Captain Tim Stringer.

Brussels - As the summer cruise season got under way in Europe, 79 ships sailed back to European waters from their winter routes in the Caribbean, Latin America, Africa and Asia, bringing the total fleet in the region this summer to 206 cruise ships, operated by 64 lines, serving 528 destinations stretching from the Mediterranean to the Arctic.

Fort Lauderdale, FL — July 18, 2012 Halfway through the year, travel agents cite  optimism about selling cruises in 2012, according to a new survey of members of Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA).  Over 50 percent of respondents report they are already selling more vacations at sea than in 2011 and 64 percent expect cruise booking volume over the course of 2012 to increase over last year.

The online survey of over 300 CLIA-member agents, conducted in early July, measured several major aspects of the cruise industry from the agent perspective, including consumer confidence and attitudes toward cruising, popular cruise destinations, passenger demographics, and booking patterns.

New segments added to Holland America's Grand Asia and Australia voyage

Beginning spring 2014, Norwegian Getaway will be the largest ship to homeport year-round in Miami

Norwegian Getaway - which will be the largest ship ever to home port year-round in Miami - will embark on weekly cruises beginning in the spring of 2014. Miami-Dade County officials joined Norwegian Cruise Line Chief Executive Officer Kevin Sheehan today at PortMiami on board Norwegian Spirit for this announcement.

SEATTLE -- Holland America Line has unveiled a new Master Chef's International Dinner in the main dining room, a unique experience showcasing signature dishes from around the world. SANTA CLARITA, Calif. – Princess Cruises announced that for the first time it will base a ship in San Francisco year round, beginning in May 2013.

The extensively renovated Grand Princess will first offer a series of Alaska cruises during the summer months from the “City by the Bay,” followed by a schedule of Hawaiian Islands, Mexico and the California Coast sailings during the fall 2013 to spring 2014 season.
 
Last year the 2,600-passenger Grand Princess underwent the largest drydock in Princess Cruises history, adding a host of new features so that passengers will enjoy the same onboard experience as offered by the line’s other newer ships.
